Another project done at JD'S Boat Shed by the Innovative Wraps team. This time it was a complete make over for a 33ft Chris-Craft Corsair. The materials we used for this project was 3M 1080 Gloss Sterling Silver G251 to wrap the hull and just above the waterline a 100mm black stripe. We're quite familiar with these boats, as we have done many in the past. This was an exciting project to be a part of, turning this worn out looking Cobalt 272 back to a brand new look as if it was recently manufactured! The hull wrap and stripe installation was all done at JD'S Boat Shed by the Innovative wraps team. We used 3M Gloss Black G12 to wrap the hull and installed a 110mm dark grey stripe which slightly tapers at the front of the boat. With so many colours and textures available from the 3M range and how easily vinyl can be removed, it makes changing the appearance of your boat so simple. This 69ft Symbol "ANTARES" was Innovative Wraps biggest project for 2021! This massive project was done heading towards the end of the year over a span of 4 months. All the works for this job was done at d'Albora Marinas Cabarita Point. The first part of the project we purely focused on the the exterior, starting with the superstructure and working our way down to the hull. The materials we used were from the 3M 2080 series using different variations of black to appropriately suit the vessel. Gloss Black G12, Matte Black M12, Satin Black S12 and Brushed Metal Black BR12. The hull, top roof and transom island were wrapped in Matte Black. Satin Black was used to wrap the upper top deck and ceilings, back BBQ area, ceilings of the lower deck and back deck, port and starboard walkways. Once we had completed the exterior, we installed 3 backlit stainless steel signs. One sign was installed on the transom which is 210mm high x 1100mm wide. The x2 signs installed on the sides are 800mm wide. -Front 3mm mirror finish Stainless Steel 316 marine -Backing 30mm thick translucent acrylic -Lighting RGB LEDs -Voltage 24vdc -Mounting M4 stainless mounting studs For the interior wrap works, we wrapped all the sections where the woodwork was practicable. Such as the main saloon, wheelhouse, main downstairs bedroom (including ensuite), dash cabins, downstairs hallway and bathrooms. For all the surfaces that was flat or single curved, we used Dinoc FW-1985. For the sections that had a more complex curve we used 3M Satin Black S12 for easier application. This boat stripe project on this Beneteau Oceanis 40 was done at White Bay 6 by the Innovative Wraps team. The vessel was due for a new stripe as you can see from the pictures below, the previous stripe had begun to fade and peel making the damages quite visible with the Beneteau decal barely readable. The owner wanted to keep the same colour of the stripe and to also include a new Beneteau decal. Innovative Wraps removed the existing stripe on the waterline and replaced it with a 75mm dark silver stripe (same colour as previous). We recently installed and supplied a brand new stainless steel boat name for this awesome D42 De Antonio which lives in Rose Bay Marina. The boat name "PREGO" is a custom font that is 170mm high with a 3mm thick mirror finish 316 stainless steel on top mounted to a 15mm opal acrylic mounting on the back. What is a Plimsoll marking aka Load Line? The Plimsoll mark is installed on a ship’s hull and is used as a reference guide to indicate the maximum depth to help shipping owners from overloading the vessel to keep the crew safe. This 17ft Flightcraft was a fun little project for the Innovative Wraps team. The owner of this boat wanted to restore the boat, for obvious reason (heavily faded) but keep the original colour. The plan was to make it look clean and simple. We installed the new vinyl wrap on the hull and on the transom as the top section was still in a decent enough condition which didn't require a new wrap. The vinyl colour code used for the project was 3M Gloss Burnt Orange G14. The Innovative Wraps team installed brand new vinyl for the interior of a Sunseeker 82. In total there was 11 doors and a few panels that required a new wrap. As you'll see in the photos below, the original doors downstairs had a retro style look which is a little outdated in its appearance. The vinyl wrap used for this project to freshen it up was LG CW111 Cherry Wood Wrap. Innovative Wraps recently supplied and installed a brand new stainless steel boat name "swagger" and home port "RMYC Port Hacking" on a Fairline. The font style for "swagger" is called Mistrully. For both the boat name and home port the owner opted for the satin black finish, which turned out quite nice and suited the boat quite well. We first Installed a temporary vinyl version in black, to make sure the sizing and style looked right before went sent the signs to production. Stainless steel version installed! Up close shots! This 45ft Riviera 4000 Offshore once had a painted 100mm grey stripe on the waterline. The owner wanted to make his boat a little bit more modern and fresh as the previous grey painted stripe was starting to fade away. The Innovative Wraps team installed a 75mm dark grey stripe and just above it, a 25mm black stripe to cover the old stripe completely. To match the stripe, the owner also wanted a brand new boat name "ACE" which we installed on the transom. It was a tricky but successful day at White Bay 6 trying to complete this job in between the rain. The Innovative Wraps are no stranger to this 40ft flybridge having done work on it in the past. As you'll see from the pictures below, you'll notice that the exterior, especially the sides of the boat had been stained with rust marks which made the boat look crusty and old. We used 3M Gloss Boat Blue (G127) for both the hull and transom to freshen the boat up and to finish it off, we applied a brand new boat name "Emilina" in white on the transom. The Innovative Wraps team spent a couple of days installing new vinyl in the main and flybridge dashboard of this Princess. This job completed whilst the boat was at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Newport and at Sydney City Marine. We are always up for a challenge, but we did find the main dashboard a little tricky as we had to remove a few parts to get the vinyl on around all the panels. The Carbon fibre is definitely an upgrade from the old turtle shell colour that was previously on there. This now fresh looking Wellcraft 30 Scarab was wrapped by the IW team at Marmong Point Marina. As you can see from the before photos, the boat was looking like it needed a little TLC. We used 3M Gloss Boat Blue (G127) vinyl to wrap the hull and transom to maintain it's original appearance. This Regal 176 Bowrider was recently wrapped by the Innovative Wraps team. We wrapped the sides and the transom in 3M Gloss Deep Blue Metallic (G217) and used silver vinyl for the boat name "Lobdka" and registration to make it nice and visible. We've had a lot of Haines Hunters come through over the years as they are a very popular fishing boat. This one was done all the way back in 2017 by the Innovative Wraps team. For this project we used a black metallic gloss in the Avery Dennison vinyl films range to wrap the hull along with silver and blue custom decals. The outboard cover was looking a little worse for wear so we wrapped it up in the same metallic black vinyl to match. The Innovative Wraps team installed a new hull wrap on this 26ft Bayliner 2651 Ciera. For the hull, we used 3M Gloss Boat Blue (G127). To clean up the section just above the rub rail we also installed new vinyl, using 3M Gloss White G10.
