AIA Event Branding on Starship Sydney

For the recent AIA event aboard the Starship Sydney, the goal was clear, fully immerse guests in a cohesive, high-impact branded environment from the moment they stepped onto the vessel.

While already impressive on its own, the challenge was to transform the vessel into a seamless extension of the AIA brand without disrupting its architectural elegance. The branding execution focused on visibility, consistency, and flow across multiple touchpoints throughout the vessel. Rather than concentrating branding in a single area, the strategy ensured guests encountered the AIA identity at every stage of their journey onboard.

Both bars across each level were wrapped with corflute branding panels featuring the AIA logo and approved artwork. These areas naturally attract attention, making them ideal for reinforcing brand presence while guests gather, order drinks, and socialise.

The first and second floor windows were transformed according to design mockups, creating a strong visual identity within the interior spaces. These installations served two purposes:

• Enhancing the internal ambience with bold, consistent visuals

• Acting as a backdrop for photos, encouraging social sharing and brand amplification

One of the most impactful elements was the branding applied to the outside windows on both sides of the vessel. This extended the AIA presence beyond the interior, turning the entire ship into a moving brand statement visible from the harbour.

There was also consideration for additional exterior placements, including railings, further amplifying visibility and ensuring the branding could be seen from multiple vantage points. This project highlights how thoughtful placement, scale and consistency can transform a venue into something far more powerful branded journey.
